After a month's hiatus

Happy new year to everyone!

After 1 month, i think the "publishable" activities happened only during the christmas break. Albert decided to spend New Year's Eve in Davao and I mentioned na dun na rin kaya sya mag-birthday. So after 6 years of being together, we were finally physically together during his birthday :)

Most probably, there was an agenda in mind for him to spend New Year's Eve with us instead of his family -- yup, yup...nagpaalam na kami! Although it took us some time to finally talk to my parents. Actually, si Albert pala ung kumausap at nagpaalam :) As in, December 31! He asked permission separately, from Papa first then Mama. I remember Papa was cutting his nails sa may veranda, you can hear the click click of the nailcutter stop and that's when I knew that Albert was talking to him. Pagpasok ni Albert sa bahay...ga-munggo ang pawis! :P Sagot daw kasi ni Papa... "Sige, pag-usapan natin mamaya..."

When he talked to Mama, he was still drenched in nervous sweat pero mas mabilis ang sagot ni Mama...the gist being, no problem with her since she's already known Albert for how many years and that we were of the proper age, etc. I was there, just listening at kunwari e naghuhugas ng plates...you can just imagine how slowly I was washing the plates, pinapakintab! hehehe...

Our initial plan was to have it by December 2006 but I am a bit hesitant knowing how high wedding expenses could go for a December wedding, December being a peak season for weddings and all! So we had another option which is Feb2007 (although we might not have a significant increase in budget compared to Dec, prices would be much less for Feb). Aba! Si Papa nag-suggest October this year na lang daw! Hehehe...we were a bit hesitant to pull in the schedule. Although we may be able to have all preparations in place by October, there's the budget to think of...so mukhang Feb '07 na talaga sya :)

Currently, we're searching for a church/chapel and we have the ff options:
1) UP Chapel
2) EDSA Shrine - as suggested by Pie (thanks, Pie!)
3) UA&P Ortigas Chapel - maganda ung chapel, visited it last Sat. Maliit lang (which is what we want) but I still need to confirm if they conduct weddings there
4) St. Jude (?) in Marikina - malapit lang sa bahay nila Albert so worth looking into
5) Church near ATC - suggested by a colleague (need to get details)

Ang dami na no? Now what we need is to find time to visit all these as well as inquire about the requirements. We're also coming up with a checklist for all items to be considered as well as try to find alternatives in order to fit our budget -- we're aiming for a really simple wedding :)

So, ayan na lang po muna. hope I can keep my updates more regular from now on :)
