Rainbow Windows

Moods that vary from "red-hot" to "cool violet" with some "mid-green" areas. That's me. Here's a glimpse.

And the choice is...

We were able to visit 4 churches last Saturday, all within the QAve-E Rod-Cubao area. Our date in mind - Feb 18, 2007.

First we went to EDSA Shrine - Albert loved the airconditioned church! :) hehehe ayun pala ang type niya. The church is nice and since it was enclosed, you wouldn't be bothered by the busy EDSA traffic noise. Three concerns, no weddings on Sundays, small parking space and no package (meaning more work for me hehehe tamad!). Although they can recommend a florist and choir, I wonder how much their services would cost pati how to coordinate it. Ang layo ko pa man din...nasa bulubundukin ng Cavite! :P

Next was Twin Hearts aka Parish of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary in West Triangle QC. The church is located within a subdivision so it's pretty quiet. There was a wedding that day so I was also able to see the flower arrangement that comes with the package. Nice and simple, they used calla lilies. The altar was nice as well. However, the 3pm slot for our date was already taken. They have 2 schedules for Sunday weddings (1pm and 3pm). AND I have yet to hear their soloist and organist (who come with the package hehe).

Third was Christ the King seminary/Divine Word Shrine in ERod. Albert was the one who knew about this since he knows several people who are/were in seminaries (and have been ordained already) through his elder brother. Nice sana kasi secluded din ung place, unfortunately, they don't conduct weddings yet.

By this time I was thirsty and tired and was about to give up hope hehehe...and he suggested to see the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral Parish in Cubao. The church is huge (cathedral nga e!) but doesn't have a nice facade. Pero pagpasok mo...ang ganda sa loob! I think it was newly renovated...ang ganda nung ceiling pati ng altar. AT ang haba ng aisle! hehehe... it also comes with a package. Unfotunately, no Sunday weddings here either.

After much discussion (Albert still wants the airconditioned EDSA Shrine hehe), we were down to 2 churches..Twin Hearts and Immaculate Concepcion for several reasons. Albert preferred Twin Hearts (siguro kasi nga secluded ung area), ako naman kahit alin oks lang sa akin :) We were also not sure how the area would be during weekdays (e school zone pa man din sya!) especially if we prefer the afternoon schedules (2:30 or 4).

By the way, I reconsulted with my parents and have their OK with the change in date from Feb 18 to Feb 8 (which is a Thursday). Since the other day, we have a temporary reservation for Feb8, 3pm and have until Sunday to pay the reservation fee :)

My parents are coming tomorrow (to visit and see our place here in Cavite since andito na rin bro ko) and we're planning to have another occular on Sunday, gusto din daw nila makita ung church hehehe...
